Participating hair stylists from various Ottawa & area salons, as well as the teaching staff & students from the Algonquin College Hair Stylist program, are volunteering their time & talent at this Event...with wash, cut & styles (or shaves!) for all people fundraising the minimum donation amount* & donating their hair and/or shaving their heads! Please consider sponsoring participating salons/stylists. Donation boxes for Hair Donation Ottawa will be available at all participating salons.
Stylists will provide wash, cuts and styles (and/or head shaves) for people who are fundraising and donating their hair to the program and/or shaving their heads. Money raised goes towards cancer research at both the CHEO & Ottawa Hospital Research Institutes as well as an annual $500 Bursary to a financially disadvantaged Algonquin College Hair Stylist student to help offset their tuition fees.
There are a total of 52 work stations available. The first appointment will be at 9:30 and the last booking will be at 3:15pm. Each appointment is 45 minutes long, so a minimum of 45 minutes volunteered time is necessary. As much time as can be donated is hugely appreciated!

VOLUNTEER HAIR STYLISTS NEEDED!!
WHAT:
Hair Donation Ottawa, an annual, non-profit, cancer research fundraiser, is looking for stylists to volunteer their time at their 6th annual event on Sunday April 17th, 2016.
Stylists will provide free wash, cuts and styles (and/or head shaves) for people who are fundraising and either donating their hair and/or shaving their heads. Money raised goes towards cancer research at both the CHEO & Ottawa Hospital Research Institutes.
Stylists can volunteer for the entire day, part of the day or split time with a colleague; their name/Salon name will appear on the workstation, various media outlets as well as on the Event webpage.
WHEN:
Sunday April 17th, 2016 from 9.30am to 4.30pm at Algonquin College Hair Stylist Salon, Main Campus, 1385 Woodroffe Ave, Ottawa, ON K2G 1V8, Canada.

For those staying all day, there will be 2-15 minute breaks, one in morning and one in afternoon, as well as a 30 minute lunch break. Complimentary food will be provided for those volunteering their time.
Supplied: Stylist stations, Algonquin College Hair Salon level 2 student assistants on washing/finishing stations, hair product and towels.
Stylists are required to bring: Personal styling tools including scissors, combs, dryers,
irons and capes.
